«The Black Brothers» is a family film adapted by Oscar winner Xavier Koller. Based on the most famous Swiss children's book written by an emigrated Jewish communist from Germany, Kurt Held and his wife Lisa Tetzner in Ticino.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:

Ticino, mid-19th century: Giorgio is a fourteen-year-old boy who is sold to the dubious Milanese Antonio Luini to pay for treatments for his injured mother. Along with other boys, Giorgio is brought to Milan to work as a chimney sweep.
