It is a dark, suppressed chapter of Swiss migration politics: Thousands of children of seasonal workers lived hidden in Switzerland. Their parents took them in, despite the ban, because they suffered from the separation. Hundreds of thousands of others had to stay with relatives, separated from their parents.
