«Non ho l’età»

We are enthusiastic to provide you with a new film recommendation, which is the documentary «Non ho l’età» by Olmo Cerri.

We hope you enjoy the film!

About «Non ho l’età»:

A touching and original insight into Italian emigration to Switzerland, through a song that has become the symbol of an era.

The documentary follows four stories of four Italian immigrant families in Switzerland who wrote a letter to Gigliola Cinquetti in the 1960s after her victory at the 1964 Sanremo Festival with the song Non ho l'età (per amarti). The film proposes a parallel with today's emigration. Stories that talk about hopes, dreams and solidarity, but also about exclusion, xenophobia and exploitation.

It includes excerpts from Alexander Seiler's documentary “Siamo Italiani” and some rare interviews with the Veronese singer.
